As the A Song of Ice and Fire: Tabletop Miniatures Game enters its 10th month since release, the game has grown in popularity, bolstered by a developing tournament scene, new factions, and the promise of yet even more on the horizon. CMON Games has done an amazing job translating units from the pages of George R.R. Martin’s masterpiece to the tabletop.
Uniquely suited to be appreciated by a wide range of audiences, ASOIAF TMG has drawn in a wide player base and, while several high profile events and tournaments have garnered attention, we recognize that this is but one way to enjoy the game.
Therefore, On the Table Gaming is calling for the month of June to be “Community Content Creation Month!”
While all content creation is supported, we are particularly looking for content in the following three categories:
Scenarios and Game Modes
(Subcategories: Competitive, Thematic, Campaign Modes)
- Custom game modes for ASOIAF TMG that could be competitive modes, thematic battles, or even a campaign mode.
Terrain
(3D Printed, Keywords, Templates)
- Custom terrain for use in playing ASOIAF TMG these could be new template footprints, new types of terrain keywords or even 3D sculpts of terrain.
Accessories and Game Aides
(Card organizers, flow charts, movement tools)
- Custom Accessories or game aides, things that help support gameplay. This could be handouts for new players, templates for people to design custom elements, the sky’s the limit!
We encourage members to share the items in their communities, such as on the Facebook group, discord, subreddit, and the official CMON forums. Be sure to tag it as a Community Content Creation Month initiative or “#cccm”. Other helpful tags to help share your content are #cmongames #asoiaftmg and #onthetablegaming.
Once you have a good base for final submission, please use this Google form to submit your creation! We will review them to discuss on the On the Table Gaming Podcast, inviting some creators to share their ideas on the air as well!
While we encourage people to always be working to create content for the A Song of Ice and Fire Miniatures Game, please note that this particular initiative ends on June 30th – so get planning!
And, as always,
We hope you get your miniatures… On the Table.
– Chase
